JoBlo is in the middle of all the SXSW craziness this year and our first big event was the red carpet for the new horror film A QUIET PLACE. THE OFFICE's John Krasinski acts, writes and directs this compelling thriller. Krasinski has stated that this festival is the perfect place to premiere his new film and I have to agree. The packed audience was on the edge of their seats the entire time. This film also stars Emily Blunt and just like in real life, she takes on the role of Kransinski's wife. This couple must protect their children (played by the talented Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe) from monstrous creatures in the woods by remaining constantly silent. Just like the filmmakers, the characters must find creative aways to communicate without making a sound. This is sure to be a hit amongst both Hollywood horror fans and indie drama snobs.
