Colin Trevorrow confirmed as director of the next Jurassic World sequel

While taking a break from promoting his latest sci-fi feature, READY PLAYER ONE, legendary director Steven Spielberg has announced that Colin Trevorrow is going write and direct the third Jurassic World story.” It's also known that Trevorrow will will work alongside Emily Carmichael (PACIFIC UPRISING) on a script for the third chapter of the JURASSIC WORLD series.

This news comes hot off the heels of Jeff Goldblum's appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, in which the actor that potrays Dr. Ian Malcom for the franchise coyly hinted at he and Laura Dern returning in a big way for the next Jurassic adventure.

Meanwhile, if you're feeling the need to get your dino on, J.A. Bayona's JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jeff Goldblum, BD Wong, James Cromwell, Ted Levine, and Rafe Spall is scheduled to stomp into theaters on June 8th. The sequel finds Owen and Clair mounting a campaign to return to the Jurassic World theme park site in an effort to rescue the dinosaurs from an extinction-level event.
