Not too long ago we saw the first, small glimpse at Tom Hardy as Al Capone in the upcoming movie FONZO (above). It wasn’t the most detailed look, but it gave us a rough idea as to what to expect. Now, Hardy has gone off the chain and has posted numerous pictures of him as Capone, giving us the absolute best look at the character until, probably, we see the first trailer.

Hardy posted the behind-the-scenes photos on his Instagram, almost all of them showing him in full makeup as the notorious gangster Capone. The actors posts a variety of shots, some being super dramatic and intense, and others looking like he’s having a ball. There’s endless fun to be had when you’re in makeup!
Production has been underway with FANTASTIC FOUR director Josh Trank behind the camera, his first movie since the superhero movie disaster. There’s a hope the movie will premiere this year at the end of the some festivals where it aims to be acquired by a studio for distribution. If everything goes to plan, we could see the movie as early as the end of the year.

But, hey, even if we don’t see it this year this movie is going to be one to look out for, especially with Hardy in the role. He looks great at the later-aged Capone, with his hair long a desheveled. Trank may have disappointed with FOUR, but I have faith he can come back and direct Hardy to an amazing performance. Time will only tell on that front, but for now, Hardy at least looks the part.
