Sony unveils first look at Spider-Man: Far From Home logo

Spider-Man/Peter Parker (Tom Holland) may have faded into ash in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, but somehow the character is still going to have a whole new solo adventure only a few months after next year's AVENGERS 4. There’s a ton of mystery surrounding SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME, but we got one, small goodie from Sony with the reveal of the movie’s logo. Get excited! Logos are cool!

Okay, okay, so it’s not a cool pic revealing Spider-Man being reborn from the ashes like a phoenix, or even a tease of Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio, but it’s something. The “Far From Home” style is the same as the “Homecoming” one, so there’s some continuity here. The main “Spider-Man” design is inverted from the last movie, with a red filling and yellow border, calling to mind the Iron Spider color scheme.

I dig the design, but it makes me wonder how they will promote this movie or even tease a plot synopsis when they're trying to keep his being-brought-back-to-life a secret in AVENGERS 4. It will be fascinating to watch this unfold from a promotion/production standpoint, and part of me will always wonder if this is just a big ruse to get us to think he's coming back when, really, he's indeed dead for good.
