DC Universe's DOOM PATROL has added another member to its cast with the addition of FLASH GORDON and THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS alum Timothy Dalton. When the former James Bond super spy makes his way to the streaming platform's new show centered around a ragtag group of oddball superheroes, he will do so as Dr. Niles "The Chief" Caulder. As a paraplegic with genius-level intellect, Caulder uses his vast know-how to develop industry-changing tech, which in turn helped him to become vastly wealthy. After making it rain dolla" dolla' bills y'all, Caulder organized the team called Doom Patrol, a collection of superpowered "freaks" who've all been transformed and given powers through a series of terrible accidents.
Recently, it was announced that Alan Tudyk (FIREFLY, DIRK GENTLY'S HOLISTIC DETECTIVE AGENCY) joined the cast as the show's villain, Eric Morden/Mr. Nobody. Also set to star in the series presented by Greg Berlanti and Warner Bros. TV are Brendan Fraser (Robotman), April Bowlby (Elasti-Woman), Diane Guerrero (Crazy Jane), and Jovian Wade (Cyborg).
DOOM PATROL made their debut in the pages of My Greatest Adventure in 1963. The team was birthed by writers Arnold Drake and Bob Haney, with artist Bruno Premiani, who each played a pivotal role in giving depth, imagination, and delightfully twisted backstories to the classic cult characters. DOOM PATROL will be presented alongside other live-action offerings destined for DC Universe, including TITANS and SWAMP THING.
DOOM PATROL's 13-episode debut season will premiere exclusively on DC Universe.
