This week's movie trailers have me very exciting about our upcoming genre prospects. DESTROYER got a gnarly little trailer showcasing Nicole Kidman's captivating De Niro-esque performance in Karyn Kusama's gritty crime thriller, and Dylan McDermott projected a sinister suburban father turned possible homicidal maniac in the very promising IFC Midnight release THE CLOVEHITCH KILLER. Even THE POSSESSION OF HANNAH GRACE looks like a fun spin on the classic EXORCIST trope.

Although there's tons of gems this week, I'd have to say that based on the trailers shown here, the upcoming project I'm most looking forward to is surprisingly ESCAPE ROOM. A movie based on the popular horror attraction isn't necessarily something I would normally gravitate towards, but based on the footage shown here it appears that director Adam Robitel (INSIDIOUS: THE LAST KEY, THE TAKING OF DEBORAH LOGAN) has another crowd pleaser on his hands.
