Jessica Chastain is one bloody assassin in first image from action flick Eve

With the new IT movie on the horizon (which recently got a teaser poster) Jessica Chastain will be around plenty of violence, but in the new action-thriller EVE she’ll be the one dishing it out. While she’ll certainly be throwing her fair share of punches the first photo from the movie proves she’ll be taking a few licks herself, as she looks bloody, badass, and ready to rumble. But, hey, that’s just a day in the life when you’re a high-paid, globe-trotting assassin.

Directed by Tate Taylor (THE HELP, THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN), and written by Matthew Newton (who was also supposed to direct before dropping out after reports of a 2007 domestic assault surfaced), Chastain plays an assassin on the run for her life after a deal goes wrong. Nicolas Chartier and Dominic Rustam are producing the movie from Voltage Pictures with Chastain and Kelly Carmichael producing from Freckle Films. EVE is currently being marketed to buyers at the American Film Market.  

Next year will be quite busy for Chastain, who on top of IT also has the new X-MEN movie DARK PHOENIX, two movies expected to be huge blockbusters. Those movies will find her part of a larger, terrific ensemble, and she also has a fine cast alongside her for EVE, including Colin Farrell, Common, John Malkovich, Geena Davis and Joan Chen.

Eve (Jessica Chastain) is a deadly assassin who works for a black ops organization, traveling the globe specializing in high profile hits. When a job goes dangerously wrong she is forced to fight for her own survival.
