Brie Larson takes flight in the latest trailer for Captain Marvel

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Next year will be a momentous one for the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it will see the release of AVENGERS 4, a much-anticipated film which will bring Phase Three of the MCU to a close, and as if that wasn't enough, 2019 will also introduce us to Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), an ex-U.S. Air Force fighter pilot and member of an elite Kree military team called Starforce. We've already seen Captain Marvel strut her stuff in the first '90's infused trailer several months ago, but Marvel has unleashed a new trailer during ESPN's Monday Night Football which shows off even more of Marvel's latest hero. Grandma gets to punch back and we discover that Nick Fury is definitely a cat person. Check it out!

In addition to Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, CAPTAIN MARVEL also stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Jude Law as Starforce commander, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, and Annette Bening in an undisclosed role.

The official synopsis for CAPTAIN MARVEL:

Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.

CAPTAIN MARVEL will hit theaters on March 8, 2019.
