The high-haired rockers of Mötley Crüe take the stage in The Dirt trailer

Just when you thought that BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY had satiated your thirst for rock, along comes THE DIRT, a new music biopic that focuses on the rude and rowdy ‘80s hair metal band Mötley Crüe. Known throughout Rock ‘n’ Roll history as one of the most troubled outfits in the game, the off-stage antics of Mötley Crüe serve as something of a cautionary tale for up-and-coming band managers to this very day. Granted, there are still plenty of acts out there who’re quite adept at booking their management a one-way ticket to Ulcerville, but the Crüe had a knack for hotel devastation and reckless fornication that would make Caligula swoon with envy.

Today, Netflix has set director Jeff Tremaine’s THE DIRT take center stage. The upcoming biopic stars GAME OF THRONES alum Iwan Rheon as Mick Mars, Douglas Booth (JUPITER ASCENDING) as the notorious Nikky Sixx (BRIGHT), Machine Gun Kelly as the infamous Tommy Lee, and Daniel Webber (THE PUNISHER) as Vince Neil. Pete Davidson (TRAINWRECK) and Leven Rambin (TRUE DETECTIVE) also star.

Written by Rich Wilkes and Amanda Adelson, THE DIRT is based on the bestselling autobiography titled The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band from Mötley Crüe and Neil Strauss, and tells an unflinching tale of the band’s success and excess as four misfits rise from the streets of Hollywood to the heights of international fame.

THE DIRT will launch on Netflix on March 22, alongside the film’s soundtrack featuring 14 classic Mötley Crüe tunes as well as four new songs from the band.
