Hellboy prepares for a giant hunt in new clip from the reboot

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

As we've seen in the trailers for HELLBOY, our title character will be coming face-to-face with some fearsome giants, but you can't go on a giant hunt without a little preparation. The latest clip from the upcoming reboot finds Hellboy (David Harbour) touring the Osiris Club's armory accompanied by Lord Adam Glaren (Alistair Petrie), who demonstrates the modern innovations to their giant-hunting weapons.

Our own Paul Shirey visited the set of HELLBOY last year, so be sure to check out his interviews with star David Harbour and director Neil Marshall, as well as a rundown of everything he learned from the set. While it's a little too early to start talking HELLBOY sequels, Harbour told Shirey that although he's up for more, the focus this time was to simply make a great film without wasting time setting up future installments. "We’re just going to make one movie that’s awesome, and then if people love that movie, then we’ll make more of them. But there is no doling out of a universe," Harbour said. "It’s like, we’re just trying to make the best Hellboy movie you’ve ever seen, and that’s all we want to do. And if people love it and they want more of it, I think most of us would be happy to do it. But we’re not spending time setting up a universe."

The official synopsis for HELLBOY:

Hellboy is back, and he’s on fire. From the pages of Mike Mignola’s seminal work, this action packed story sees the legendary half-demon superhero (David Harbour, “Stranger Things”) called to the English countryside to battle a trio of rampaging giants. There he discovers The Blood Queen, Nimue (Milla Jovovich, Resident Evil series), a resurrected ancient sorceress thirsting to avenge a past betrayal. Suddenly caught in a clash between the supernatural and the human, Hellboy is now hell-bent on stopping Nimue without triggering the end of the world.

HELLBOY will hit theaters on April 12, 2019.
