Last year’s AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR ended on a very, very bleak note, and while many children love these movies, watching Spider-Man turn into ash was probably not the easiest thing to handle. So, in order to put the events of INFINITY WAR into a much more pleasing, digestible form for children some of the Avengers have assembled on JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE to read the brand new children’s book, “’Twas the Mad Titan Thanos,” which adorably recounts how Thanos wiped out half the population of the universe.

Involved in the fireside reading are Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johannson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and Don Cheadle, all of whom take turns reading certain bits of the story and pausing every now and again to lend some commentary. While the cast also makes note of some of the questionable rhyming choices in the story, the final line of "The Avengers may have a few more last tricks, and you can find out in theaters on April two six," is quite clever. All in all, I would totally read this to any future children of mine to help ease the blow of the finale of INFINITY WAR. And while some parents may want to nix the colorful commentary, I say include that in the audiobook version. Helps flesh out the tale.
AVENGERS: ENDGAME is in theaters April 26.
