Mostly comprising of a series of intense, flashing images that paint Williams’ character as a musician whose jealous of Browning’s up-and-coming career, there are plenty of images of gross bits, blood, stabbings, sex, medical procedures and all levels of screaming. It looks like one hell of a ride, and the reviews that flash on the screen seem to validate that.
The movie was initially financed by Miramax back in 2017, and it premiered at Fantastic Fest this year, where Netflix bought the distribution rights. The reviews coming out of the festival have been mostly good, with it having a solid 75% on Rotten Tomatoes with a handful of reviews. The critics who enjoyed it praised the twist, grueling nature of it, promising an experience that will leave your gut wrenching.
