For the folks who haven’t seen AVENGERS: ENDGAME avoiding spoilers has been like living inside their own horror movie. You have no idea where something nasty is hiding, and just when you think you’re safe the killer pops out from behind the curtain and rips out your heart. For those who have managed to stay alive you deserve all the respect in the world, but if you still haven’t managed to see ENDGAME this weekend will be your last before its fair game on spoilers.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have championed the movement to keep the secrets of their movie just that, secret. But even they know part of what makes these movies special is the conversation they start, and while on Good Morning America they said that as of this Monday, after the movie’s second weekend in release, is when it’s officially okay to let loose on spoilers on the internet and everywhere else.
If you haven’t seen Endgame yet, see it this weekend. The spoiler ban lifts on Monday!

While there may not be a law saying you’ll be placed on a medieval rack for spoiling the movie for people (yet), there has been a sort of moral code of honor when it comes to spoiler-free discussions and reviews. For the most part, people have been good about keeping everything a secret, while other people have been notoriously bad. There's the guy at a grocery store I was at talking about every major scene at a cranked-to-11 voice, and the guy in Hong Kong who was beaten up for spoiling the movie for people waiting in line. But soon, the internet will be flooded as people start opening up about [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] and the one badass [REDACTED] scene. Even star Chris Evans (Captain America) is ready to share the goods, asking the Russos if that means he can start sharing the videos he recorded on the set.
Does that mean I can start posting set videos on Monday? https://t.co/X9c946pFW6

That may sound like a joke, but he even retweeted a post from Chris Pratt wherein the naughty Star-Lord shared a very spoiler-y set video, saying that he too may have taken a few special videos. Okay, but if anyone gets to do that, it’s Captain America.
This is awesome. (I may or may not have stolen a few cool videos too) https://t.co/M9vaC4TWcx

Now, everyone has their own time limit when it comes to spoilers. For some, it's the day it comes out, and others it may be after opening weekend, etc. I'm tickled to know the Russos think it's after the second weekend because that's the camp I've always fallen into. People sometimes can't make that first weekend for reasons pertaining to general life, and thus wait for the weekdays or next weekend. That's just what life offers sometimes. But people do need to talk about this movie openly at some point, and the moral ban can't be forever. If you still want to stay unspoiled, proceed with even greater caution than ever; your battle has only just begun.
