Genre icons Tony Todd and Tobin Bell have been cast in director Brian Hanson's sci-fi horror film The Bunker, which is currently filming in Los Angeles. Leading the cast is Chelsea Edmundson, who is a genre regular herself. Her credits include Army of the Dead, Daylight's End, Howlers, The Black String, 14 Cameras, Bloodsucka Jones, Killer Eye: Halloween Haunt, and Midnight, Texas.
Hanson wrote the screenplay with Charles Bunce, telling a story that is set
during a mysterious alien invasion. A government scientist (Edmundson) is sealed in an underground bunker and must create a bio-weapon to stop the mysterious travelers before they take over Earth.
Hanson and Bunce are producing the film with Kayli Fortun, Sharif Ibrahim, and Kelby Thwaits. The producers have teamed up with the genre consulting firm Blood Oath, who are co-producing.
Blood Oath released the following statement:
We’ve been reading a mountain of scripts, and this one immediately leapt off the page as a fast paced, character driven story within a high concept none of us had seen before. It was the perfect fit for Blood Oath, and with legends Tony Todd and Tobin Bell starring, we believe it will also be a perfect fit for audiences."
