Filming has officially begun on a new adaptation of the Stephen King novel Firestarter, and the producers at Blumhouse have celebrated the start of production by sharing a fiery video from the set on social media. Check it out below!

The Vigil director Keith Thomas is at the helm, working from a screenplay by Scott Teems. Firestarter tells the story of

a young girl who develops pyrokinetic abilities and is abducted by a secret government agency that wants to harness her powerful gift as a weapon.

It hasn't been announced who's playing the lead character, but we do know that Zac Efron and Michael Greyeyes are in the cast.

This new version of Firestarter is coming to us from Blumhouse, Weed Road Productions, and Universal Pictures. Blumhouse founder Jason Blum is producing with Akiva Goldsman. Martha De Laurentiis serves as executive producer alongside Teems.
