It: Chapter Two trailer (finally) floats to the surface

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

In 2017 a new adaptation of Stephen King’s IT floated to the surface to terrify audiences and damn near blew the whole circus away by becoming the biggest horror movie ever – *ever*. Now in 2019 we’re only a few months away from the second half of this two-parter and after ages of waiting for the first footage to drop we now have the very first trailer for the movie, teasing the return of Pennywise the Clown (Bill Skarsgard) and the adult Loser’s Club who will put him down once and for all.

And holy god, if that trailer wasn't freaky and weird as all hell. That build up with Jessica Chastain's Beverly Marsh in Mrs. Kersh’s apartment is eerie and unsettling, but also incredibly strange (and slightly hilarious), which is the perfect blend for the sequel. The first movie had a lot of big scares and not a ton of slow-building tension, so more bits like this will be most welcome.  Then there's the kind of footage explosion we normally see in teaser trailers, featuring the returning Loser's Club and a series of terrifying scenarios. Yeah, this movie looks like it's going to be F**KED!

Taking on the adult forms of the teenagers from the first movie, we have Chastain as Beverly Marsh; James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough; Bill Hader as Richie Tozier; Jay Ryan as Ben Hascom; Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak and; Andy Bean as Stan Uris.
