In SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland) is in full popstar mode, in that he goes through more costume changes than Beyoncé on tour. In his second solo outing for Sony and Marvel, he gets to don all sorts of cool new costumes with their own perks, abilities and fashionable highlights, and the new TV spot for the movie counts them all down. Fun fact: if you guess which one was designed for him by Tom Ford you will win yourself a lovely fruit basket.

The spot doesn’t name each suit, like the Iron Spider or Stealth suit, instead just going "Original, New, Newer and Newest". As we saw from the last full trailer, it seems Peter is rocking the Iron Spider at the start of the movie, especially as he mourns the death of Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). From there he dons the Stealth suit for a special mission in Europe, and it looks like that final red/black suit could be his “Finale wear”. Where he fits the original suit into that mix is anyone’s guess, but he doesn’t seem to be rocking that one for too long.
We also get a bit of new footage, like Spidey launching himself from whatever aircraft Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) is flying, and that bit where he’s taking MJ (Zendaya) for a ride, which we were originally teased in several set photos about a year back. Spider-Man swinging his lady love to safety is a staple of his movies, so I'm glad he's getting back to some classic hero work after, you know, fighting in space.
SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME is in theaters July 2.
