According to The Wrap, and confirmed by other outlets, A WRINKLE IN TIME star Storm Reid is being eyed to join the cast of THE SUICIDE SQUAD. Not much is known about her role at this time, but it's said that she would be playing the daughter of Idris Elba's character.

THE SUICIDE SQUAD will find Margot Robbie returning as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Col. Rick Flag, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. It was originally announced that Idris Elba would be replacing Will Smith as Deadshot, but it was later revealed that he would be playing a new character instead. The rest of the cast includes David Dastmalchian, Daniela Melchior, and John Cena, and it was also rumoured that Benicio del Toro was being considered to play the film's villain. Production on THE SUICIDE SQUAD is expected to kick off this September under the direction of James Gunn, who also wrote the script.

Storm Reid will next be seen starring alongside Elisabeth Moss in Leigh Whannell's THE INVISIBLE MAN, Universal's latest stab at bringing their Universal Monsters to the big-screen after their Dark Universe franchise crashed and burned due to the failure of THE MUMMY. This film will find the studio charting a new course away from an interconnected universe and instead focus on bringing in creative directors with distinctive visions for the classic monsters. THE INVISIBLE MAN will follow Cecilia (Moss) as she receives the news of the suicide of her abusive ex-boyfriend. She begins rebuilding her life for the better, but her sense of reality is put into question when she begins to suspect her deceased lover is not actually dead. Storm Reid will play Sydney, a young woman who picks up the maternal slack with her mother gone. She's very capable and mature for her age as well as an outgoing lover of fashion who aspires to see the world. Although she initially likes having Cecilia around as a role model, she soon grows mistrustful of her when strange things begin to happen around the house.

THE INVISIBLE MAN will hit theaters on March 13, 2020, with THE SUICIDE SQUAD slated for an August 6, 2021 release.
