In BRITTANY RUNS A MARATHON, Jillian Bell plays a chronic underachiever who decides to turn her life around, trading wine for protein shakes and drunken nights for 5Ks. The film was a big hit at this year's Sundance, winning the Audience Award and subsequently being picked up by Amazon for a cool $14 million, and now the studio is set to introduce the world to Brittany and her collection of eccentric friends.
JoBlo.com recently caught up with the main cast and director of the film to talk about the incredible journey the film has had thus far.
Jillian Bell is pretty much the whole show in BRITTANY RUNS A MARATHON, but she has solid support from a very amusing troupe of supporting actors. In the below interview, you'll see Bell along with Utkarsh Ambudkar (who plays her new best friend Jern) and LilRel Howery (who plays her brother-in-law Demetrius) as they talk about the film, working with each other and more.
Here we talk to director Paul Downs Colaizzo, who based the film on a friend of his, and Micah Stock and Micheala Watkins, who are two more integral pieces in the BRITTANY cast, playing Brittany's new running buddies who help motivate her as she goes from layabout to marathon runner. We talk about the film's success at Sundance, working with Jillian Bell, who would come in first in a marathon and more!
