Arnold Schwarzenegger looks stately AF in First Look pics for Kung Fury 2

Arnold Schwarzenegger is known to many as a man of action and integrity. During the '80s he starred in some of the most iconic action films ever made, including TERMINATOR, COMMANDO and PREDATOR. Forever the entertainer, Schwarzenegger is also a beacon of balance. In addition to flexing his muscles for films like TOTAL RECALL and TRUE LIES, he's also embraced his comedic chops throughout the years by leading films like TWINS alongside Danny DeVito, and herding unruly children in KINDERGARTEN COP. Oh, and don't even get me started about how he spoofed his own cash cow genre with the woefully under-appreciated LAST ACTION HERO. My point being, Schwarzenegger is an icon of many talents who's unafraid to conquer the "weird" in addition to leading the charge for sure-fire blockbusters. As such, it wasn't too long ago that he signed on for a role in David Sandberg's KUNG FURY sequel, a film born from the B-movie phenomenon, KUNG FURY.

Today, Schwarzenegger has shared a pair of First Look pics from the set of KUNG FURY 2, which is currently (and finally) filming in Germany's third largest city, Munich. For the first photo (pictured above), we see the former Governator lounging behind a massive desk, stogie in hand. With his feet propped up and a take-no-shit scowl on his hardened features, Schwarzenegger's Mr. President looks as if he's got the concerns of his country well-handled.

In addition to the first photo of Schwarzenegger looking stately AF, he also posted the following message:

"I met David Sandberg four years ago, right after I saw the original Kung Fury. I absolutely loved it and could not stop laughing so I had to meet him. Now we are finally in Munich shooting. I just had to share with you guys, because I’m so proud of him for making his hilarious vision into a reality. For those of you who want to get into the movies, he’s proof that if you have the vision and you work non-stop and keep hustling away, you can do it."

Perhaps one of the coolest things about Schwarzenegger is that he's forever standing tall alongside his variety of film projects. He believes in the people who are helping to bring him to the silver screen, and uses his celebrity to endorse their efforts with unbridled gusto. He's like the muscle-bound equivalent of Oprah's book stamp for movies.

Promptly after posting the first photo, Schwarzenegger was eager to share another. The second in the series finds the RED HEAT Hercules standing alongside KUNG FURY 2 director David Sandberg. With their fists firmly clenched, you can see that both creatives are serious about making the film as badass as possible. Furthermore, if you look closely, you'll see that Schwarzenegger's Mr. President has incurred a bit of battle-damage, though how he gained the cranial scarring is still a mystery at this time.

In the original short, set in 1985 Miami, the greatest damn cop of all time, Kung Fury, teams up with a law enforcement outfit known as the Thundercops to defeat Adolf Hitler, a.k.a. Kung Fuhrer. To bring one of history's greatest monsters to his knees, Kung Fury and his compatriots must travel through time and space, thwarting the Fuhrer's efforts at any cost.

Joining Schwarzenegger for Sandberg's KUNG FURY film are actors Michael Fassbender, Alexandra Shipp, David Hasselhoff, Jorman Taccone and David Sandberg as Kung Fury himself.

Are you ready for more KUNG FURY action? Do you think the sequel will be as outrageous as the original? Or will an inflated budget remove some of the original concept's B-movie sheen, giving the property a different feel altogether? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
