Kevin Smith certainly had a bevy of modern superhero movies to spoof for his upcoming flick JAY AND SILENT BOB REBOOT, and with a new, grittier take on Bluntman and Chronic being featured it’s no wonder he went with BATMAN V. SUPERMAN. Smith has now debuted an exclusive clip which gives you a glimpse at the BVS parody, featuring actual on-screen superheroes Melissa Benoist (CW’s SUPERGIRL) and Val Kilmer (BATMAN FOREVER) having a bit of spat all before Tommy Chong just sort of shows up. It might be brilliant?

Similar to the story of JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK, REBOOT finds our stonerific title characters royally uncool with the fact the comic based on their likeness – Bluntman and Chronic – is being rebooted for the big screen. In the clip, they get to see what Hollywood has cooked up, and actually seem rather impressed. Smith’s Silent Bob is a bit stunned when he hears Benoist say his name, and Jay is over the moon when Chong shows up with some pizza. I mean, wouldn't we all be stoked to see Tommy Chong emerge out of nowhere with a tasty pie?
As Smith says at the start of the clip they will be taking screenings of JAY AND SILENT BOB REBOOT on the road across the country and into Canada. You can see if the show is playing anywhere near you here, with screenings coming to several major cities and throughout the rest of the year and into February (although tickets are not on sale yet past December). If you won't be able to do the roadshow thing. the movie will be shown via Fathom Events in 600 theaters across the country on October 15 and then again on October 17.
