Kevin Makely and Mira Sorvino saddle up for an exclusive Badland trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

In the upcoming action-Western, BADLAND, Kevin Makely plays Mathias Breecher, a gunslinging detective who's not about to take no guff from nobody no how. Taking place more than a decade after the Civil War, during a time when a wounded nation tries to rebuild, an outlaw faction takes root across the West. In the unincorporated parts of the country, this plague grows with no one to regulate. So enters Matias Breecher, a leather-clad gumshoe with a six-shooter who's been to track down the worst of the Confederate war criminals (Trace Adkins, Bruce Dern and Jeff Fahey), with nothing more than his wits and his revolver. As he roams the Old West seeking justice, his resolve is tested when he meets a determined pioneer woman (Mira Sorvino) who is far more than she seems. As the lawless converge on this lawman, death is inevitable in a terrain that welcomes no stranger.

Directed and written by Justin Lee (SWELL, ANY BULLET WILL DO), BADLAND stars Kevin Makely (ZEROVILLE, BIG LEGEND), Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino (THE REPLACEMENT KILLERS, ROMY AND MICHELE'S HIGH SCHOOL REUNION), Bruce Dern (THE 'BURBS, THE HATEFUL EIGHT), Wes Studi (HEAT, THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS), Trace Adkins (DEEPWATER HORIZON, THE LINCOLN LAWYER), Jeff Fahey (THE LAWNMOWER MAN, ALITA: BATTLE ANGLE), Tony Todd (CANDYMAN, THE CROW) and Ryan Kelley (TEEN WOLF, REALMS), among others.

Grab yourselves some Sarsaparilla and some quality chaw, pardners, because the Wild West is about to see some fancy shootin' and fisticuffs come tumblin' through a town filled with outlaws and ne'er do wells. You can never be sure of what or who is gonna come wanderin' around the old saloon, and I hear that old Mathias Breecher's got himself an itchy trigger finger. Sadlle up and let's ride!

BADLAND is set to open in theaters and On Demand and On Digital HD on November 1st from Cinedigm.
