BoJack Horseman to end with Season 6, final season trailer revealed

There will be no more horsin' around for Netflix's BOJACK HORSEMAN after the show's sixth and final season.

It's been announced that Netflix is canceling their crass and emotionally crippling animated series, BOJACK HORSEMAN, starring Will Arnett as the self-loathing steed who's golden touch turns everything good in his life to shit. Part 1 of the sixth and final season will launch on October 25, 2019, while Part 2 is scheduled for a January 31, 2020 premiere.

If you're like me in that you're ready to flip tables over this news, you should know that the sixth season of BoJack's misadventures was originally conceived as its last. In other words, this was the plan all along. There won't be any loose ends or nonsense when it comes to ending the series on a satisfying note. Doesn't that make you feel better? Go ahead, put the table back down. After all, it didn't do anything to you.

Created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg, BOJACK HORSEMAN had its Season 1 premiere in August of 2014. The hilarious, surprisingly surreal, and emotionally-charged series is lead by Will Arnett, who stars as the depressed BoJack, a down-and out relic of the '90s sitcom "Horsin' Around." Keeping BoJack company along his path of self-destruction are his human compatriot Todd (Aaron Paul), his feline friend and ex-agent Princess Carolyn (Amy Sedaris) and Mr. Peanutbutter (Paul F. Tompkins), a golden retriever who serves as a thorn in BoJack's side. Together, the group weathers the ups and downs of Hollywoo, a town that would rather chew them up and spit them out than see them succeed at just about anything.

BOJACK HORSEMAN stands as Netflix's longest-running original series that is still churning out episodes to this day. I for one will miss the antics of BoJack and his friends, though I'm happy to know that we're still getting one more season to send this delightful program out on what I hope is a very high note.
