Daisy Ridley drops some sick rhymes as she raps the history of Star Wars

It goes without saying that a lot has transpired over the course of eight Star Wars films: The Death Star was destroyed. Body parts were lost. Bounty hunters were eaten. Ewoks taught us how to dance. Jedi masters took a dirt nap. Etcetera. In other words, the Skywalker saga has been nothing short of an emotional roller coaster, and I don't know about you, but I sure wish that there was a clever rap that recapped all the action for those of us who don't have the time to marathon every chapter before the release of the final film.

Oh snap, it looks as if such a rap exists, and my birthday isn't even until January!

Recently on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER actress Daisy Ridley dropped some dope rhymes that served as a recap for the Skywalker saga thus far. While the raps aren't always spit with clarity, there's plenty of pertinent information to glean from the near three-minute throw-down of Star Wars drama.

Yo, Questlove! Give Daisy Ridley a beat so she can drop some knowledge on all our asses about the balance of The Force in a galaxy far, far away, my man!

For the moment, only a select few who're close to the film know how much the original trilogy and its prequels will factor into the story of Rise of Skywalker. I would imagine that it's a great deal, but then again, you don't want to alienate audience members who don't have their Masters in Star Wars 101. Personally, I'm hoping that Rise of Skywalker does its best to feel inclusive while also giving plenty back to those who've been following the saga since 1977. More than anything though, I'd like to experience some satisfying conclusions for many of the main characters introduced as a part of the latest trilogy. Will we get all of that and a bag of chips? That remains to be seen. Thankfully, we won't have to wait that long to find out, for STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER arrives in theaters on December 20th. Get hyped, my little Padawans!
