Zoë Kravitz faces heartbreak & music in teaser for High Fidelity series

The latest adaptation of Nick Hornby's "High Fidelity" is set to debut on Hulu next year, and the streaming service has released the first trailer for the 10-episode series which stars Zoë Kravitz as Rob, a record store owner in the rapidly gentrified neighborhood of Crown Heights, Brooklyn who revisits past relationships through music and pop culture, while trying to get over her one true love.

The novel was previously adapted into a 2000 film which starred John Cusack and Jack Black, but Hulu's take on the story will come with a few updates. "We, of course, had to modernize the world," Kravitz told Entertainment Weekly in October. "Now we are dealing with people who are not only obsessed with pop culture, but also nostalgia. Surprisingly, I don’t think the character has changed much. Of course, it’s my own interpretation, but the heart of the character is very much the same. Changing the character from male to female did not change the kind of person we are dealing with." In addition to Zoë Kravitz, who also serves as an executive producer, High Fidelity stars Da’Vine Joy Randolph, David H. Holmes, Jake Lacy, and Kingsley Ben-Adir.

All 10-episodes of High Fidelity will debut on Hulu on February 14, 2020.
