Sonic the Hedgehog has certainly had an eventful year; Following the release of the first trailer for the upcoming SONIC THE HEDGEHOG movie, fans immediately railed against the rather disturbing design of Sonic himself, leading to Paramount Pictures delaying the film and going back to the drawing board to redesign their title character. Thankfully, the new design found the blue speedster looking much more like himself rather than a horrifying genetic abomination. All that's left is for SONIC THE HEDGEHOG to pull one more Ring out of its hat and actually deliver an entertaining film.
With the New Year already upon us in many places around the globe, Sonic has taken it upon himself to race around the world in order to wish us all Happy New Year. That adorable, blue rascal. Based on the global blockbuster video-game franchise from Sega, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG tells the story of the world’s speediest hedgehog as he embraces his new home on Earth. In this live-action adventure comedy, Sonic and his new best friend Tom (James Marsden) team up to defend the planet from the evil genius Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) and his plans for world domination. The family-friendly film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG will hit theaters on February 14, 2020.
