Fandango, the movie ticket seller outlet, has been quite busy Thursday afternoon while posting exclusive images from upcoming films to their offical Twitter account. Among the many pics posted are new stills from two of DC's most anticipated movies of 2020: WONDER WOMAN 1984 and BIRDS OF PREY (AND THE FANTABULOUS EMANCIPATION OF ONE HARLEY QUINN).
For the pic related to director Patty Jenkins' WONDER WOMAN 1984, we find Gal Gadot seemingly dangling a man over the edge of a building while giving the camera a knowing smirk as she presses a finger to her lips – a signal that calls for silence from the warrior princess of Themyscira. Having no context for the image, I can only assume that Diana is looking to glean a bit of information from a soon-to-be loose-lipped thug, before depositing him on solid ground, post-confession.

In addition to the new image from WONDER WOMAN 1984, Fandango also debuted a new shot from BIRDS OF PREY (AND THE FANTABULOUS EMANCIPATION OF ONE HARLEY QUINN). The photo finds Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn having been incapacitated by Ewan McGregor's Roman Sionis aka Black Mask, who's joined by Chris Messina's Victor Zsasz and an unknown compatriot for the photo. As Harley stares intently at Sionis, we can see that the villain is brandishing a sharp razor blade at the Qweenpin of Crime. While Harley is no doubt tied to a chair of some sort, I can't help but notice that she's well within kicking range of Sionis' nether region. Could this be the moment just before Sionis finds Harley's foot wedged firmly between his legs, pointy-tipped Jimmy Choo and all?
When WONDER WOMAN 1984 lands in theaters, the new film will find Diana doling out justice in the era of hair metal, neon leggings, and arguably some of the best music ever created by humankind. Supporting Gal Gadot as members of the cast are Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Ann Minerva aka Cheetah, and Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord. Little is known about the plot thus far, though I'm sure they'll explain how Trevor – whose return to the franchise remains a real head-scratcher – manages to still be a part of the story despite taking a dirt nap in the 2017 original.

As for BIRDS OF PREY (AND THE FANTABULOUS EMANCIPATION OF ONE HARLEY QUINN), the film is directed by Cathy Yan (DEAD PIGS) from a screenplay penned by Christina Hodson. Starring Margot Robbie, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosie Perez, Ewan McGregor, Steven Williams, Derek Wilson, Dana Lee, Francois Chau, Charlene Amoia, Chris Messina and Matthew Willig, BOP sees Harley Quinn parting ways with The Joker and striking out on her own as one of Gotham's premiere femme fatales. Along her journey toward reclaiming her sense of self, Quinn is joined by a band of female heroes who agree to help her save a young woman from the clutches of the evil Roman Sionis.
WONDER WOMAN 1984 is set to arrive in theaters on June 5, 2020, while BIRDS OF PREY (AND THE FANTABULOUS EMANCIPATION OF ONE HARLEY QUINN) is poised to start a riot in theaters on February 7, 2020.
