Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker heads home with release dates & new trailer

Having just fallen out of the box office top ten after a lucrative run that began in December, STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER is almost yours to bring home. The last chapter of the Skywalker saga has just released a trailer for the blu-ray release.

The trailer is pretty much a variation of the promos we've seen before but it ends with the news that the film hits digital on March 17 followed by the blu-ray release on March 31. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, general moviegoers mostly enjoyed the film and carried it to a worldwide gross of $1 billion dollars. The film features a stacked cast that includes stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong'o, Kelly Marie Tran, Naomi Ackie, Keri Russell, Billie Lourd, Richard E. Grant, and Joonas Suotamo, in addition to franchise veterans Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels, and Ian McDiarmid.

Since I'm a completist at heart, I will be buying the film but I was left largely underwhelmed by the film when I saw it twice back in December. The film had its share of moments that stood out but it all never quite came together for me. That being said, I'll be flexing this thing hard on my 7.1 surround sound and 4K TV so just take my money as usual Disney.
