If you're feeling a bit stressed — and who could blame you — why not allow the dulcet tones and inspiring words of actor Matthew McConaughey soothe your jangled nerves?
McConaughey, whose most recent film THE GENTLEMEN is set to be available for purchase on March 24, courtesy of VOD services, recently took to Twitter to put his fans at ease during what is assuredly a trying time for people all across the globe.
"In these crazy times that we're in with the coronavirus, let's take care of ourselves, and each other," McConaughey implores at the top of his video message. He then adds, "Let's not go to the lowest common denominator and get paranoid. Let's do our due diligence and take the precautions we need to to care of ourselves and those around us. More now than ever before, we are all dependent on each other than we ever have been. We have an enemy in coronavirus that is faceless, raceless, sexless, non-denominational and bipartisan. It's an enemy that we all agree we want to beat."

It goes without saying that our future is uncertain at the moment, what with social-isolation quickly becoming a necessary practice as well as the economy taking hits that will be difficult to recover from for quite some time. That said, it's important not to lose faith in the future, and perhaps more importantly, faith in each other. At this very moment, people from all walks of life are aboard the same boat that, for the time being, has sprung a considerable leak.
As McConaughey's zen-like demeanor continues to ooze serenity and assurance throughout his video, the actor presses on by stating: "There is a green light on the other side of this red light that we're in right now. I believe that that green light is going to be built on the values that we can enact right now – values of fairness, kindness, accountability, resilience, respect, and courage. If we practice those things right now, and we get out of this, this virus, this time might be the one time that brings us all together and unifies us like we have not been in a long time."
With so many people around the world experiencing bouts of depression, isolationism, and abject terror, it sure is nice to see someone like McConaughey using his well-known celebrity for something constructive and uplifting. Stay safe out there, everybody. Together we will figure this mess out and rebuild knowing full-well that this is an opportunity for evolution among us all.
