First trailer for HBO’s Lovecraft Country is full of monsters

Based on the novel by Matt Ruff, HBO's Lovecraft Country is an upcoming series from Jordan Peele (US), J.J. Abrams (STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER), ad Misha Green (Underground), who also serves as showrunner. and the first trailer for the drama/horror series has arrived. Lovecraft Country follows "Atticus Freeman (Jonathan Majors) as he joins up with his friend Letitia (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and his Uncle George (Courtney B. Vance) to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father (Michael Kenneth Williams). This begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback." I'm down. In addition to Majors, Smollett-Bell, Vance, and Williams, Lovecraft Country also stars Tony Goldwyn, Wunmi Mosaku, Aunjanue Ellis, Jamie Harris, Abbey Lee, Jamie Chung, and Jordan Patrick Smith

Lovecraft Country will debut on HBO in August 2020.
