It's easy to forget that Ben Stiller has plenty of experience behind the camera as well as in front of it; in fact, just last year, Stiller won the Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Movies for Television and Limited Series for his work on Escape at Dannemora, the true story of the escape of two inmates from the Clinton Correctional Facility in upstate New York.

Deadline has now reported that Ben Stiller is slated to direct LONDON for Lionsgate, which is based on a new short story/high-concept thriller from best-selling author Jo Nesbo. Oscar Isaac (STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER) is slated to star in the film with Eric Roth (DUNE) tapped to pen the script. There aren't any details about the story of LONDON just yet, but we'll be back with more details as they come in. In addition to Escape at Dannemora, Ben Stiller has also directed THE CABLE GUY, ZOOLANDER, TROPIC THUNDER, THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY, and more. Oscar Isaac was last seen reprising his role of Poe Dameron in STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER, and will next be seen in Denis Villeneuve's star-studded adaptation of DUNE, which is currently slated to hit theaters on December 18, 2020.
