Katherine Langford wields Excalibur in trailer for Netflix’s Cursed

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Are you ready for another re-imagining of Arthurian legend? Well, Netflix has released the first trailer for Cursed, a new TV series which is an adaptation of the illustrated novel by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler, who executive produce the series, with Wheeler also serving as showrunner. Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why) stars as Nimue, "a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake. After her mother’s death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a young mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther." The trailer doesn't give us much, aside from plenty of slow-motion accompanied by fire and blood, but it's enough to pique my interest.

The official synopsis for Cursed:
