Brie Larson is an Oscar winner and plays arguably the most powerful member of the MCU in CAPTAIN MARVEL and AVENGERS: ENDGAME but all performers have humble beginnings. Despite appearing in a slew of notable films, Larson revealed on her new YouTube channel that she auditioned for and missed out on some pretty big movies.
Larson revealed that she auditioned for a role in a STAR WARS movie along with starring roles in THE HUNGER GAMES and TERMINATOR: GENISYS:
"I auditioned for Star Wars, I auditioned for Hunger Games, I auditioned for the Terminator reboot. I actually was thinking about the Terminator reboot today because I got a flat tire and I was like, 'Oh the last time I got a flat tire was when I was driving into my audition for Terminator.' Got a flat tire at the auction, and didn't get the job."
Larson didn't reveal which STAR WARS film she auditioned for but it can be assumed that it was for 2015's THE FORCE AWAKENS. As for THE HUNGER GAMES, Jennifer Lawrence ended up landing the role of Katniss Everdeen in that film series while Emilia Clarke took on the role of Sarah Connor in 2015's TERMINATOR: GENISYS. One could say that she dodged a bullet by not landing the GENISYS role because the film wasn't well-received and while THE HUNGER GAMES would've been a pretty huge gig to land, she made up for that miss by joining the Marvel family. Had she landed some of these other roles, she may have also missed the opportunity to be cast in 2015's ROOM, which eventually led to her Best Actress Oscar win. It appears that everything does happen for a reason.
