The next installment of Matthew Vaughn's KINGSMAN franchise will be pushing back the clock by a century as it explores the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency featured in KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE and KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE. As a collection of history's worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them in THE KING'S MAN. A new pair of international posters for the upcoming prequel have been released, which you can check out below.
As someone who had quite a lot of fun with KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE and KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE, I'm certainly down for a return to that world, albeit in a slightly different form. Director Matthew Vaughn has said that his take on this incarnation of the KINGSMAN franchise will be entering "very different territory to the other two movies, in that the human dilemma at the center of it gives it a gravitas, which I think is really compelling." THE KING'S MAN stars Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Brühl, Djimon Hounsou, and Charles Dance
THE KING'S MAN is currently slated to hit theaters on September 18, 2020, but I suppose that depends on what COVID-19 has to say.
