Although SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY wasn't exactly the biggest success of the franchise, the film certainly has its share of fans, and one of the highlights of the film for many of them was Donald Glover's portrayal of Lando Calrissian. The actor certainly seemed to be having quite a lot of fun with the role, and since the release of the film, there have been rumblings of a potential Lando-centric film or TV series.
Well, those rumours have emerged once again as the Kessel Run Transmissions podcast has claimed that Donald Glover will be reprising the role of Lando Calrissian for an upcoming STAR WARS series on the Disney+ streaming service. Disney hasn't responded to the news as of yet and you should always take these sorts of rumours with a grain of salt, but Kessel Run Transmissions did break the news of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, the new animated spin-off of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, several weeks before its official announcement. However, Glover is a notoriously busy dude, so it remains to be seen whether or not he would have the time to commit to a potential series of this size, but I suppose we'll hear one way or another before too long. To add a little fuel to the rumour fire, Alden Ehrenreich teased last week that he's heard some stuff about a potential SOLO-related project, so it would seem that something is happening behind-the-scenes. Fingers crossed for The Calrissian Chronicles.
Would you be down to see Donald Glover return as Lando Calrissian for a Disney+ series?
