Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will once again be starring in JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION, but the film will also feature a few blasts from the franchise's past. The sequel will mark the return of Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm, Sam Neill as Dr. Alan Grant, and Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler. With production on the film now back underway, we've begun to see a few glimpses from the set, and Sam Neill posted a photo which has him reuniting with an old friend.

It just wouldn't be Dr. Alan Grant without his customary headgear. Although Jeff Goldblum's Dr. Malcolm did make an appearance in JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM, it was pretty much a glorified cameo, but Sam Neill stated last month that the JURASSIC PARK trio will have much bigger roles in DOMINION. "We’re all the way through the film, Jeff [Goldblum], and me, and Laura [Dern]" Neill said, but admitted that he "probably won’t be running quite as fast as I was 27 years ago!" Dr. Grant's hat isn't the only blast from the past, as DOMINION will also include more animatronic dinosaurs than have been seen in the past few films. "We’ve actually gone more practical with every Jurassic movie we’ve made since the first one," said director Colin Trevorrow, "and we’ve made more animatronics in this one than we have in the previous two. And the thing that I’ve found, especially in working in the past couple months, is that we finally reached a point where it’s possible to… digital extensions on animatronics will be able to match the texture and the level of fidelity that, on film, an animatronic is going to be able to bring. And you didn’t use to be able to really mix them. You could really see the seams. And so that part of it is very exciting for me."

JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION is slated to hit theaters on June 11, 2021.
