UPDATE: Hot on the heels of the trailer, Patty Jenkins unveiled the first single from Hans Zimmer's audacious new score for WW84. Heck it out via the tweet below:
Take a listen to the most amazing score by @HansZimmer. You don't know his name for nothing. The greatest composer of our times and his score for our film BLEW MY MIND. Can't wait for you to hear it. ?????? https://t.co/SQUlK46C9c

DC FanDome kicked off just as we thought it would, with a WONDER WOMAN 1984 panel that concluded with what we’ve all been waiting for, the all-new second trailer! While you can check it out above here are some of the highlights:
- More footage of the young Diana
- Her reunion with Steve, who it seems doesn’t realize time has passed at first.
- A glimpse at a more romantic tone as they walk around Washington D.C at night.
- Our first-ever look at both iterations of Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah, with her wearing a pretty grounded costume at first, but then later turning into a CGI’d monster Diana has to take on, although there’s some reluctance as Cheetah, in some ways, seems to be presented as a more tragic character.
- It closes with some eighties humor for Pine, who’s dressed by Diana in parachute pants. We also get a look at his first taste of radar, although he seems to have no problem flying jets???
Notably, there was no mention at all of the film's projected release date, October 2nd. Director Patty Jenkins seemed to suggest the film would be delayed, saying "I really think the movie is great on the big screen,” adding “we’re gonna stick it out.” As to when the film would come out, she’d only say “soon”. We shall see.
Otherwise, the panel didn't reveal much new info, although there was a great, touching moment when the original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, called in to say that when her daughter saw Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman for the first time, she said she finally realized why everyone idolizes her mother and what the character means to people. For her part, Jenkins had the utmost respect for Carter, telling her that in her mind this was never a “new version of Wonder Woman – we just want to take the torch and pass it forward.”
There was also a funny moment when Venus Williams called in to ask who would win in a tennis match, Wonder Woman or Cheetah. While Jenkins believed the two would put aside their differences to team up, Wiig begged to differ saying "Cheetah would win" because Wonder Woman would have some golden tennis racket that would slow her down. Gadot disagreed, prompting Wiig to say, tongue firmly planted in cheek, "see you on the court".
And there you have it, a wrap up of the first DC FanDome panel of the day.
