Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters (SPUMC) is growing a little larger as it's looking to expand to the small-screen. The studio is in the midst of developing a live-action TV series centered on Cindy Moon aka Silk, a Korean-American classmate of Peter Parker's who was also bitten by a radioactive spider and developed powers. Not only that, but the potential Silk series is merely one of several Marvel TV shows based on character's in the SPUMC that Amazon Studios is in talks to acquire.

Lauren Moon, known for her work on Good Trouble and Atypical, is in talks to pen the potential series with Phil Lord and Christopher Miller executive producing alongside Amy Pascal. There had been talk of a feature-film centered on Silk two years ago, and although that could still happen, it would seem that the character is destined for the small-screen instead. Although Cindy Moon gains abilities similar to Peter Parker's, there are some differences as she is able to spin webs out of her fingertips, possesses an eidetic memory, is much faster, and has a more advanced Spider-Sense (known as Silk-Sense). The Silk series is likely to be the first of several planned TV shows that Christopher Miller and Phil Lord are developing for the studio after signing a major deal last year.
