Following the release of JACK REACHER and JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK, the character based on Lee Child's international best-selling series of books is heading to the small-screen, and now we finally know who will be playing him. It's been reported that Alan Ritchson has been tapped to star in the Jack Reacher TV series that being developed for Amazon.
Alan Ritchson currently co-stars on Titans as Hank Hall/Hawk, and has also appeared in THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE and played Raphael in TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES and TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS. In Lee Child's novels, one of the more distinctive aspects of Jack Reacher is his sheer size, and the fans who took issue with Tom Cruise playing the role in the movies will be pleased to know that Ritchson is a much better physical match for the character, standing at 6'4" and weighing 235lbs. Nick Santora, best known for his work on Prison Break, Breakout Kings, and Scorpion, is set to pen the series, as well as serve as executive producer and showrunner. The first season will be based upon "The Killing Floor," the first novel in the Jack Reacher series. "Lee Child has created an incredible character and world; it will be the goal of every writer, producer, actor, executive and crew member to capture the essence of Mr. Child’s books – and luckily Lee has been there, and will continue to be there, to help guide us along the way in this series. He is the pulse of Reacher," said Nick Santora in a previous statement. Lee Child, who will also be executive producing the Jack Reacher series, added, "It's been great so far, but really, the fun starts here. By now I know these guys, and Reacher is in the perfect hands, believe me."
