A couple weeks ago, Spike released a promotional featurette for their upcoming Stephen King-inspired television series The Mist that introduced us to the character of Eve Copeland, played by Alyssa Sutherland. Now another featurette has been released that introduces us to Morgan Spector as Eve's husband Kevin Copeland. According to Spector, Kevin's life revolves around his wife and their daughter, and it seems that these three characters will be separated when the mysterious mist of the title moves into town. It should be interesting to watch Kevin's journey as he tries to find his family in a town now inhabited by nightmarish monsters.
That town is Bridgeville, and another featurette tells us a bit more about the town and its residents. In addition to Sutherland's Eve and Spector's Kevin, we meet Gus Birney as their daughter Alex, Darren Pettie as police chief Connor Heisel, Luke Cosgrove as Connor's football star son Jay, Frances Conroy as nature-loving Nathalie Raven, Danica Curcic as woman-on-the-run Mia Lambert, Russell Posner as town misfit Adrian Garff, and Okezie Morro as the mysterious Bryan Hunt.
Based on the same novella that inspired Frank Darabont's 2007 film THE MIST, this take on the material was re-envisioned for television by Christian Torpe and
centers on a small town and a family torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world, and in some cases, each other. Family, friends, and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.
The Mist will be making its premiere on Spike on Thursday, June 22nd at 10pm. Season one will run for ten episodes.
