The countdown to the release of director Andy Muschietti's adaptation of (half of) Stephen King's epic novel IT has nearly reached its end. As of right now, fans are mere hours away from being able to go see the film at their local theatre. But how to fill these final hours? How about by getting a preview of a few scenes by watching the clips from the film that have been released online?
Four clips have been embedded below, two of which we shared last week and two of which are new. Two feature the evil clown Pennywise toying with intended victims, while the other two show the film's child heroes, members of a group called the Losers Club, trying to figure out how to deal with the supernatural force that is terrorizing their town.
Each clip is a minute long. IT runs 135 minutes, so even if you watch these 4 minutes early, there are plenty of minutes left over to watch fresh in the cinema.
Written by Chase Palmer, Cary Fukunaga, and Gary Dauberman, the first half of the IT adaptation follows
seven children known as The Losers Club who come face to face with life problems, bullies and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise.
Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Owen Teague, Nicholas Hamilton, and Javier Botet star, with Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise.
IT's official release date is this Friday, September 8th, but theatres have scheduled earlier screenings.
