Now I'm not 100% sure this news is anything more than a flippant joke. But all the same, the video below needs to be watched. If nothing else, the video's editing starting at 2:20 is bonkers af.
But let's say that Blum is being straightforward here. If so then, yeah, the super producer would be very open to rebooting the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY franchise. Especially if PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2-5 writer and HAPPY DEATH DAY director Christopher Landon has an idea.
Jason Blum on rebooting PARANORMAL ACTIVITY:
Paranormal Activity is on hiatus but if Chris [Landon], who has done four Paranormal Activity movies, has an idea to reboot it, we're very open to hearing it.
[Laughs maniaclly]
The pic at the top of this article is a screenshot of what I mean by "laughs manically." True story. Also, check out Landon's expression at the thought of rebooting the franchise. You need to watch the video. Plain and simple.
After giving it a watch (or ten) make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think of a rebooted PARANORMAL ACTIVITY in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
HAPPY DEATH DAY synopsis:
A college student relives the day of her murder with both its unexceptional details and terrifying end until she discovers her killer's identity.
Blumhouse's HAPPY DEATH DAY hits theaters Friday, October 13th.
