A pair of Oscar winners are teaming up to bring a horror story to television. Alfonso Cuarón, who won Best Director for GRAVITY, will be writing, directing, and executive producing a series that will star Casey Affleck, who won Best Actor for MANCHESTER BY THE SEA.
Details on the idea are being kept secret, but the story is said to
track the origins of a cult.
The series will be produced by Anonymous Content, and the show is currently being pitched to pay cable networks and streaming outlets.
There's not much to go on just yet, but the possibility of Cuarón and Affleck making a horror series about a cult definitely has my attention. We'll keep you updated as the series progresses. It shouldn't be too hard for this one to find a home.
