You may have seen articles about model Valeria Lukyanova over the years, ones referring to her as "The Human Barbie" and analyzing how she accomplishes her doll-like look. Lukyanova has now made her acting debut, and I can't think of a more fitting project for her to star in than writer/director Susannah O'Brien's THE DOLL.
The "suspenseful thriller" has the following synopsis:
When Chris and Andy order a model from an escort service, they find that something is unnaturally wrong with Natasha — something deadly wrong. Little do they know that while Natasha is a breathtaking beauty, she's really a possessed doll created by a mad doctor in an unholy laboratory, built with the urge to kill and dominate the minds of others so they will kill for her.
Lukyanova's co-stars include Christopher Lenk, Anthony Del Negro, Don Scribner, Ron Jeremy, Mindy Robinson, Lilian Lev, Shelley Jane, and Isabella Racco.
Gravita Ventures will be releasing THE DOLL on demand and in select theatres on December 8th, and a trailer has been released online to offer a preview of the weirdness O'Brien has concocted here.
