The Mummy Russell Crowe

Russell Crowe's time as the Dark Universe version of Mr. Hyde (pictured above) seems to have been cut short right after he was introduced in THE MUMMY, but the Oscar-winning actor has found another maniac to play. He has signed on to star in the psychological road rage thriller UNHINGED.

UNHINGED is coming to us from Solstice Studios, which was just founded in October of 2018. When filming begins in New Orleans on July 15th, this will become the first Solstice project to go into production.

Lisa Ellzey is producing the film, which is set to be directed by AMERICAN DREAMER's Derrick Borte from a screenplay by Carl Ellsworth – whose previous credits include RED EYE, DISTURBIA, and THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT remake.

Ellsworth's story

takes an ordinary, everyday incident to its most terrifying conclusion in telling the story of a mother who leans on her horn at the wrong time, to the wrong guy (played by Crowe).

Road rage incidents are quite troubling, so it sounds like this could turn out to be a good thriller.

Solstice is aiming to get UNHINGED into theatres during the third quarter of 2020.
