Alice Sweet Alice nightmares onto Blu-ray this August

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Alfred Sole's 1976 proto-slasher ALICE SWEET ALICE starring a young Brooke Shields is one of my favortie flicks of the genre. And so I'm excited to pass along word today that Arrow Video will be releasing the film on Blu-ray this August. The theatrical version has been restored in 2K from the original camera negative and includes the original, uncompressed mono audio. The alternate HOLY TERROR television cut is also included.

Also known as COMMUNION, ALICE SWEET ALICE begins:

On the day of her first communion, young Karen (Brooke Shields) is savagely murdered by an unknown assailant in a yellow rain mac and creepy translucent mask. But the nightmare is far from over – as the knife-wielding maniac strikes again and again, Karen’s bereaved parents are forced to confront the possibility that Karen’s wayward sister Alice might be the one behind the mask.
