Anthony Carrigan’s Bill & Ted 3 villain Death Jr.?

It was just a few days ago that we passed along word that the third BILL & TED movie, BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC has begun shooting for a release in August 2020. The new movie will see Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reuniting after 27 years as Ted “Theodore” Logan (Reeves) and Bill S. Preston Esq. (Winter). And today we have a fun rumor that Anthony Carrigan may be playing Death Jr. in the flick.

This theory was put forth today by The Hollywood Reporter who claims that Carrigan and William Sadler's Death character from BILL & TED'S BOGUS JOURNEY looks an awful lot alike. And as you can see from the pic above, when you place the two together you can totally see the resemblance.

When we last met Bill and Ted they were time-traveling teenagers trying to pass history class and win the battle of the bands. Once prophesized to save the universe with their rock and roll, middle age and the responsibilities of family have caught up with these two best friends who have not yet fulfilled their destiny. They’ve written thousands of tunes, but they have yet to write a good one, much less the greatest song ever written. With the fabric of time and space tearing around them, a visitor from the future warns our heroes that only their song can save life as we know it. Out of luck and fresh out of inspiration, Bill and Ted set out on a time travel adventure to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe as we know it. Together with the aid of their daughters, a new crop of historical figures, and some sympathetic music legends, Bill and Ted find much, much more than just a song. 

Reeves and Winter will be joined in the new film by Samara Weaving as Bill's daughter Thea Preston and Brigette Lundy-Paine as Ted's daughter Billie Logan. Add to that, William Sadler is back as Death and Anthony Carrigan could very well be playing his son, Death Jr.

The new film is directed by Dean Parisot (GALAXY QUEST) from a screenplay written by the franchise's original creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. BILL & TED 3 starring Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, Samara Weaving, Brigette Lundy-Paine and William Sadler hits on August 21, 2020.
