Paris Jackson, Keke Palmer are menaced by Ghostface in Scream TV show clips

Scream: Resurrection Paris Jackson

The long-delayed new season of the Scream television series is finally going to air next week, and embedded below we have a couple clips to give a preview of this return to the world of SCREAM

Characters in the first SCREAM were shown watching the original HALLOWEEN, so it seems fitting that a character be shown watching the HALLOWEEN remake in a follow-up twenty-plus years down the line. In the first clip below, a character played by Keke Palmer is watching Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN when she gets a call from Ghostface… and she even refers to him as Ghostface when she realizes who's calling her.

Set during trick or treat time on the actual Halloween holiday, the second clip features Michael Jackson's daughter Paris Jackson as someone else who gets a visit from Ghostface. Before she gets her call, we hear a song by Little Boots that was on the JENNIFER'S BODY soundtrack.

Unlike previous seasons of the show, this season – which is called Scream: Resurrection – actually features the iconic Ghostface mask. Roger Jackson (no relation to Paris) returns to do voice work as the creepy caller.

Scream: Resurrection is about

Deion Elliot (RJ Cyler), a local star football running back, whose tragic past comes back to haunt him and threaten his hard-earned plans for the future … and the lives of his unlikely group of friends.

Cyler, Palmer, and Jackson are joined in the cast by Mary J. Blige, Tyler Posey, Tyga, Giorgia Whigham, Jessica Sula, RJ Cyler, C.J. Wallace, Giullian Yao Gioiello, and Tony Todd.

Brett Matthews took over as showrunner on this season, which was executive produced by Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere, and Yaneley Arty, Tony DiSanto, Liz Gateley, Marianne Maddalena, and Cathy Konrad. Wes Craven receives an executive producer credit as well. Matthew Signer and Keith Levine produced, with VH1's Maggie Malina and Dana Gotlieb-Carter overseeing.

All six hour-long episodes of Scream: Resurrection will be airing on VH1 next week. The three-night event begins on Monday, July 8th and continues through Wednesday, July 10th.
