Green Frontier

Netflix is describing their upcoming Colombian series Green Frontier as a "crime thriller", which wouldn't necessarily be of interest to us here at Arrow in the Head, even though it tells a story of a detective investigating some strange murders. There are plenty of detective shows we don't cover… But this one has caught our interest with the trailer, which can be seen below and holds promise that this show is going to be get very weird and venture into horror territory.

One synopsis for Green Frontier says the series will follow a

young detective and her partner who travel deep into the Amazon, on the border of Brazil and Colombia, to investigate a series of bizarre murders. They soon realize that there’s more intrigue to the jungle than the homicides, as they come across a mysterious indigenous tribe with an extraordinary secret that they will go to great lengths to protect.

Other descriptions say this young detective will uncover

magic, Nazis, an evil plot, and her own true origins.

I'm not usually drawn to detective shows, but this is one I'll be checking out for sure.

Created by Ciro Guerra, Green Frontier is a mini-series consisting of eight episodes. The show will be available to watch through the Netflix streaming service as of August 16th.
