Trailer: Nightmare on Elm Street producer Bob Shaye’s Ambition

New Line Cinema founder, Lin Shaye's brother, and A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET producer Bob Shaye (see above from FREDDY'S DEAD) is stepping back into the director's chair for a new horror-thriller called AMBITION.

The movie opens in select theaters, digital, and On-Demand from Unique Features and Shout! Studios beginning next month. And today we have the trailer and poster to share with you guys.

The "gripping, suspenseful thriller" creates a world where desire and revenge converge into a questionable reality and centers on:

Jude, an intense, driven musician preparing for the biggest performance of her life-but her ambition could end up killing her. As her competitors begin to die bizarre deaths, she recognizes a pattern that seems to connect her. Is she next? Her suspicions are confirmed in a shocking climax that puts into question her chances for survival, and her sanity. 

The cast includes Katherine Hughes (Kingdom, My Dead Ex), Giles Matthey (Submerged, Once Upon a Time), Sonoya Mizuno (Devs, Crazy Rich Asians, Maniac), and Bryan Batt (Mad Men, Billionaire Boys Club) with a special appearance by Lin Shaye (Insidious, The Final Wish, Room for Rent).

Bob Shaye directs AMBITION from a screenplay written by John Rocco and Jenna Wright. Bob Shaye also produces the film along with Michael Lynne, Sarah Victor, and Unique Features. Executive Producers are Phillip B. Goldfine, Benjamin Sacks, and Yuli Masinovsky.

The movie opens in select theaters, digital, and On-Demand beginning on September 20th, 2019.

Personally, I'm glad to see Bob Shaye returning to movies. After all, the man is responsible for some of my absolute favorite films of all time such as the A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET series, the first few TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES flicks, and Peter Jackson's THE LORD OF THE RINGS.

That's one hell of a resume!
